SPECIAL ISSUE

Dear Readers

Any society concerned with its economic development and its social progress should promote research and innovation, as well as the downstream activity which consists of making the results available to development actors such as economic operators, to be transformed into added value. Unfortunately, despite the major role that science and technology should play in economic growth, industrial development and the improvement of people's living conditions have not benefited from it in resource limited settings. Innovations often remain, either ensiled in drawers, inaccessible to potential users, or exploited by few regions of the world. Publishing innovative findings is also the backbone of academic studies. It is the traditional means of disseminating research results, communicating new discoveries and techniques, besides securing tenure for those in the academic field. Traditional publication formats do not necessarily fit new innovative contextualized academic approaches. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to publishing. Publications take many formats and can be the means to communicate, amongst others, scientific research results or practical case studies in any field. Dissemination of ideas, results and methods via publications are well established means to build on personal or institutional reputations and form networks for future collaborations furthering fields and disciplines.

IJHSID offers a platform for an accessible publishing of research carefully managed, proofed and edited. Its goal is to be one of the cornerstone of future development and innovations' dissemination in sound fields serving human wellbeing, including in resource limited settings. Spreading of ideas, findings and innovations can stimulate new strategies, methodologies or technologies serving both academia and development, if the right audience is reached. We are glad to provide regular issues, or special issue focusing on herbal /conventional  solutions contemporary illnesses or any scientific fields improving the human wellbeing. This hopefully could also inspire young researchers to gain the experience on manuscript preparation, submission, peer review process and disseminated to a wider public. You all are welcome.

 Sincerely yours,
